The International Wool Research Institute (IWRI) is a collective of academics and scientists who undertake research in various aspects of wool and fibre science.
Its focus is to improve understanding of wool and fibre traits, variation in those traits, and the genes that potentially underpin the variation in these traits across a number of species including sheep, goats, alpacas, camels and yak.
The IWRI has international patterns and an established reputation for excellence in wool science.
